Treasurer
Don was born and raised in north Georgia. He has family roots in Humphreys County as his maternal grandparents were born and raised here. Don’s parents were faithful church-goers and he accepted Jesus into his life at a young age. Don studied engineering at Georgia Tech and spent 35 years working for DuPont/Chemours. Don drifted away from church during college and was a passive church member until the early 1990’s. Don and his wife Kathryn (WCN Church Administrator) happened to visit WCN with their son Nicholas Herring after he announced plans to become a Nazarene minister. They immediately fell in love with WCN and joined soon after. For the past 10 years, Don has been an active servant at WCN in various capacities, including; Sunday School Director, small group leader, board member, technology consultant, and church treasurer.
